Cuomo, Skelos and Silver Announce Deal on a Series of State Initiatives

Governor Cuomo announced a deal between his office, Senate Majority Leader Skelos and Speaker Silver regarding a number of prominent issues that have recently been in the news. Most notably, the deal includes a restructuring of the state income tax system, generating an estimated $1.9b in additional state revenue per year, for the next three years. It’s anticipated that the Assembly and Senate will return to Albany to vote on the package deal sometime soon.
