2015-16 Expanded Prekindergarten Grant - June 30, 2015

NYSED recently posted grant information on the 2015-16 Expanded Prekindergarten for Three and Four Year Old Students in High-Need School Districts. The enacted 2015-16 State Budget appropriates $30 million for prekindergarten grants to establish new full-day prekindergarten placements, convert existing half-day placements to full-day, or create new half-day placements for three- and/or four-year old students, and be designated for high need children in low wealth school districts. Accounting for Commercial Gaming Grant Revenue - June 30, 2015

We have received numerous inquiries from districts about accounting for the Commercial Gaming Grant revenue. This is a payment received from NYSED entitled “COG GRNT”. According to what we have learned, this is a Commercial Gaming Grant that all districts will be receiving based on a formula and statewide allocation of $81 million. READ MORE >>

 

Senate Bullet Aid - June 26, 2015

The Senate has approved grants in aid for the 2015-16 year, commonly referred to as “Bullet Aid”. These funds are in addition to the grants in aid approved by the Assembly on June 24th. READ MORE >>

 

Assembly Approves Additional Grants in Aid to School Districts - June 25, 2015

Yesterday the Assembly approved additional grants in aid to certain school districts, public libraries, and not-for-profit institutions for the 2015-16 year. We have received numerous inquiries from districts about an invoice showing up on their SFS system indicating a payment to be received identified as “COG GRNT”. According to what we have learned, this is a Commercial Gaming Grant that all districts will be receiving based on a formula and statewide allocation of $81 million. Payment is expected this week.
